We could fill the web site up with pictures of signs, but you probably already know what you want. And if you don’t then driving around the city or looking around the internet would be far more helpful.

Can I design it myself?

YES! You can design the sign and layout yourself, or we can help you with the design. If you already have artwork or a logo on a disk then we can use it, just be aware that some file formats produce a better quality printout than others.  

File formats

The preferred formats are EPS or editable PDF of about the finished size. Illustrator and Photoshop files are fine too. JPEGs are OK if they are the finished size or are to be made smaller. Enlarging a JPEG results in poor quality, pixelation and jagged lines. If all you have is MS Office programs the files can be accommodated, but they may need a little processing to get them into a printable format.

What if I need a logo or artwork?

If you want a logo designed or artwork created for your sign then it might be necessary to use a graphic artist first. If you don't know anybody then we can put you in touch with someone. Time spent creating designs for you is not included in the cost of printing the sign.

Quality

This ink quality is the same regardless of the media to be used and should last outside for about 8 years without fading.. You choose the quality of the media based on how long you want the sign to last. Obviously the cheaper media won’t last as long as the more expensive ones, but sometimes all you need is something that will last a couple of years outside. The really bendy vinyl that goes on vehicles is more expensive, but will last a long time unless you water blast it or take it through a car wash.

Colour

The printed colour is NEVER going to look the same as the colour on your computer screen - even the best have technical display limitations.  The printer will produce the colours as specified in the file, and if you need a perfect match to a colour then we can print colour swatches on the media that you will be using. The colours are bright and vibrant and will last up to 8 years outside without fading.
