Pricing

How long is a piece of string? OK so that's not helpful, but the price is made up of many variables. If you have a rough idea of what you want  the information can be used work out a no-obligation estimate. It helps if you know:

  • What size? (imperial or metric is fine)
  • How many years do you want it to last?
    • 2 years
    • 5 years
    • 8 years
  • Will it be inside or outside?
  • Do you want it printed on vinyl, canvas, vehicle wrap, banner fabric, photographic paper, whiteboard vinyl.....
  • Is it 4 colour printing or computer cut out vinyl letters?
  • Do you want to stick it on yourself or do you want us to stick it on:
    • corflute (like real estate signs, short term but cheap)
    • aluminium board (long lasting, no rust, lightweight, drill holes for mounting)
    • footpath sign and base
  • Do you have your finished design as a file or do you want the design and layout done for you?
  • Is your file an editable PDF in CMYK of about the right size? If not then it may require some process time. (Don't have a clue what this means? That's OK, then the answer is probably not, but don't worry - we can sort it!).
  • What percentage of the page is covered with ink?
  • How many the same are required?

What is a disk reading fee?

If you have already had signs made you will have noticed that there is typically a disk reading' fee of about $35 on top of the price of the sign(s). It is not like printing on paper at home where you just hit print and off it goes. There is time involved in loading the file into the software, getting it processed ready for the printer, setting the printer up with the correct media for the job, and calibrating the printer for the media. Afterwards the media is unloaded and put away.

From one extreme to the other...

Cheapest and cheerful

This would be a sign  that does not have to last more than a couple of years that you will stick on yourself (you need to know the tricks of the trade), are not worried about exact colours, and already have the file in a PDF format. If you want many signs all the same, then the individual cost will work out much less than a 'one-off'.

Five star service

 This would be a sign that will last many years, applied onto aluminium board for you ready to hang or mount, with the design and layout done for you.
